The new adminstrator is Van J. Martin, who was previously pre-viously the County Zoning director for Cache County in Northern Utah. Duringhis three year stay in Cache County, Mr. Martin helped renovate the overall zoning for that area as well as directed an overall growth pattern. Zoning in any particular area," he continued, "should be done in accordance with the wishes wish-es of the people." With regard to the proposed pro-posed zoning in Park City Martin feels that perhaps the master plan committee did not have enough contact with the general public when drawing up the overall plan. "Again I am a firm believer that planning and zoning should reflect the wishes of the general public, we need to take the general desires of the public and implement them." Knowing full well that there is a current conflict in Park City pertaining to planning and zoning, Martin plans to take the middle ground and work from there. "Many people in Park City seem to want a total resort town" commented the new City Planner, "andthen there are others who want the town to keep its small town image.
