The operator of a machine most likely pays more money for his snowmobile suit than the skier spends for his skis. So he has a warm suit plus engine heat to keep warm, doesn't need to keep walking all day for , warmth. 1 didn't check out the prices of a complete ski outfit for the Cross Country skier, so I must just say his investment is very, very small compared to the snowmobilers. Mr. Celt, go out with me for a trip. First we load the machines in a trailer and drive up Ontario Canyon to the trailhead. Then turn around that is well marked with no parking signs, however, filled with vans. We can't make a turn so we ask if a van or two could be moved so we can unload our machines. Cut speed so not to hit a dog and give skier a chance to move over so we can pass safely. Some are very courteous, others toss a beer can at you as you pass. This is not made up (bull) but actually happening. I have talked to many skiers, given some rides from the top down, helped others who were lost in the fog. I can assure you that if I was a young man, I would pass up this kind of a girl for a wife if she had the same views of life as you. What thinking you have. I have skied these mountains from Parley's Summit to East Kamas, North of Echo Canyon. I can still ski, however, I like the snowmobile, I can go further in one day and not wear my old tired body out. If the skiers would read a sign and abide by it there would not be as many problems. Oh, yes, you .mentioned .men-tioned a fee for snowmobilers. Did you know that some of your cross-country skiers are putting out a few dollars to the city for tow aways and parking. You people are not the only ones that use these hills.
