School Song, Student Body -PCHS- Sluf f Day Held Senior Sluff Day", was held May 8, but the Seniors just couldn't decide on a project pro-ject to do together. So some of them went to Salt Lake to do some graduation shopping; shop-ping; others enjoyed the sunny Park City weather by hiking, walking, riding bikes and the ever popular, staying stay-ing at home and just sitting around. Anyway a good time was had by all at whatever the activity. Dori Pratt. -PCHS- Five Days Left It's really starting to sink in. We're graduating this year! Seniors have already received their announcements, announce-ments, and caps and gowns can be picked up from the office at any time. We have only five days left, but all of the graduation activities ac-tivities are still left, to be enjoyed or endured. Baccalaureate, Athenaeum Athen-aeum Club's, 'Mother-Daughter 'Mother-Daughter Tea", Awards Day Assembly, practicing, then the big night, Graduation! Judy Strand. -PCHS- Cooking Studied The ninth and tenth grade Home Economic classes, directed by Miss Carolyn Huff, are studying outdoor cooking. The classes made camp stoves from number ten tin cans and outdoor burners were made with cardboard, wax and tunafish cans. Anything that can be fry-ed fry-ed can be cooked on the burners and camp stoves. Friday, May 10, the class went outside to try their new stoves. Later on they may go on a field trip and use them to cook their lunch. Cory Flinders. -PCHS- Well, Naturally The best part of their field trip, according to the students stu-dents from the Park City High School Earth Science class, was visiting the Chuck-A-Rama for lunch. Thursday, May 9, the class went to the Hansen Planetarium Planet-arium and saw the show "The Dawn of Astronomy" which showed the progression of man's study of the universe. After visiting the Planetarium, Planet-arium, the class went to lunch. After lunch they went to the Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah. There the group was given a tour by a very knowledgeable knowledge-able guide. The Earth Science class, made up of ten students is taught by Mr. Fred Mar-chant. Mar-chant. Cory Flinders. -PCHS- Assembly Great Delsa Winn, HalSmith, and JimSanty, three former students stu-dents of Park City High School participated in a fabulous fab-ulous assembly put on by the Dixie College Band. Delsa and Hal are enrolled in Dixie, and Jim is a student stu-dent of the University of Utah, who stepped in to help play in the band for that day. Also Mark Lindsay, a student stu-dent of Park City HighSchool played and has been traveling travel-ing with Dixie College Band. Park City High School is very proud of these students fine talents and hope they continue their efforts.-Deb-ra MacNaughtan. -PCHS- Fresh Approach Mr. Bill Green, a very talented tal-ented teacher of Park City HighSchool, along with some of his eighth grade students presented a ReadingTheater Thursday and Friday entitled Diary of Anne Frank." Those who read in the play were: Lisa Stagg, Cory Provost, Pro-vost, David Novelle, Glen Telesco, Ken Kummer, Christine Evans, GailMurn-in, GailMurn-in, Scott Rogers, Sandra Burns, and Candi Adamson. They performed and read their parts very well. It is interesting to note that the audience was also seated onthe stage along with the perf or mers. Debra MacNaughtan. -PCBS- Lots of Fun The Seniors of Park City High School took over the town for their May Day celebration. cele-bration. Jana Rae Grose was the mayor of Park City and Gene Chantry, Rebecca James, Sue Marcellin and Rosemary Durante were on the City Council. All other seniors were either on the City Crew, Fire Department or the Police Department. The Firemen held a fire drill at the High School. The Policemen blew sirens all around Park City and checked check-ed licenses of drivers on Park Avenue. The City Crew filled cracks and chuck holes in the streets all day. Cory Flinders. -PCHS- Spring Concert Tonight, May 16, the Park City High School Band and Chorus are presenting a Spring Concert. The Elementary Band will . also participate. Time: 8:00 o'clock.
