Show Pari; City lodging Asscclallcn Sols Reservalion Center Heeds Monday, April 8, the Park City Lod gin g Association held their regular meeting. Jim Carr, president, presided pre-sided and reported attending the Utah Ski Association meeting March 14 and was successful in having three members of the Utah Ski Association placed on the board of the Utah Information Informa-tion and Preservation Committee Com-mittee for the Utah Information Informa-tion and Reservation Center. Mr. Carr will represent Park City on that Committee. Commit-tee. He also reported on attending at-tending a committee meeting March 23. The first meeting was mostly to establish administrative ad-ministrative policies for the staff. This will be a 12- month reservation center. The next committee meeting in late Xpril will establish procedures pro-cedures to prove itie center Is unbiased to any area or facility. "This is Park City's most important concern", said Jim Carr, "and I am confident con-fident we will be able to accomplish ac-complish this over the summer sum-mer months." Conflict of interest is defined de-fined as any past, present, or pending lodgingaffiliation or lodging association." Board member Dale Nelson Nel-son discussed theFactBook, and a resolution was made and passed that Park City Lodging would not go with the Fact Book unless logo type could be used. The Lodging Association will be responsible respon-sible to place the Park City paragraph in the fact book and the telephone number on each page. Lloyd Stevens, board member, stated that the Park City Lodging Association is being incorporated, and a new constitution andby-laws are in preparation. Mr. Stevens will make a proposal to Park City Resort Re-sort for inclusion in their brochure, and will insure that Park City Lodging qualifies qual-ifies for inclusion in Consolidated Con-solidated Airlines Tour Manual. The Park City Chamber of Commerce requested appointment ap-pointment of members to the chambers lodging committee. commit-tee. They also asked what programs of work the association assoc-iation had planned where the Chamber could help. The following were recommended: City transportation, trans-portation, a uniform road sign program, winter nro-lnaun nro-lnaun specifically a br jch-ure jch-ure or townguide, and summer sum-mer promotion. The board recommended that Jim Verville and Lloyd Stevens be elected to the vacancies on the board that they had been filling. The election was unanimous, the term being for two years each. In the fall of 1974 Ken Monpelier will give a seminar sem-inar on I.T. Packages, Tours etc. Park City Lodging Association Assoc-iation will take action to insure in-sure that the reservation phone number and address will be included in the ski media as "Ski Magazine" and 'Skiing and other ski publications. Dick Frost, manager of Park West, announced Park West's plans to build 111 condominiums and 20 commercial com-mercial sites.
