Other phases of summer work has included the changing and turning of the chair clips, on three of the four lifts. This recommended rec-ommended practice, once every three years, prolongs the life of the cables, provides a new cable running surface, and prevents cable deterioration. Grass has been planted on several existing ski runs, mainly on the beginning slopes-near slopes-near the main lodge. A sturdy grass not only provides summer beauty and prevents erosion, but also provides a winter cold layer of insulation between the snow and ground surface.
