Some of the citizens of Park City have expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of professional administrative ad-ministrative expertise that presently characterizes the operation of the Park City High School. In fact, a number of parents par-ents with children in the school system are painfully aware that their children are receiving a second-rate education that makes their students ill-prepared to compete with other students on the labor market of to-. day. They have concluded that many of the most qualified teachers and administrators have not been attracted by the sub-level salary offerings offer-ings of the Park City School District. If it is expected that the beauty and charm of Park City is to subsidise the professional pro-fessional staffing of this city's educational facilities and thereby attract a consistently con-sistently well-qualified staff, then the Park City School Board and the citizens cit-izens of this community can only be pitied for their ignorance ig-norance and shamed for the injustice that they have imposed im-posed upon the youth of this community. Therefore it has been concluded con-cluded by this visitor that the citizens of Park City first demand that a salary range be created that will attract the most capable administrative adminis-trative and teaching staff available in the United States today and that this staff be ably supported by a school board with realistic concerns con-cerns about the youth of this community. At that time, when we hear about students truly excited by the educational offerings at their present school facilities, will the citizens of Park City be interested in-terested in building another school which will also enjoy the excellence of a first rate team of educational experts? The school board has argued that as the ski and resort areas continue to develop de-velop there will be an influx of families with school-age children that will over-burden the present educational facilities at ark City.
