"As "Mama Pidgeon said, "Well, maybe . . .". it-Speaking it-Speaking of birthdays, MR. PARK CITY, Fraser Buck, celebrated a very special time in his life this week May 9 was his eightieth birthday! Bits and Pieces By Eleanor Bennett I WAS SO PLEASED by the honor given to me last week by our postmaster, Jack Green. That really was quite something some-thing in my book to be the ONLY one in Park City to be so honored and I've been here less than three years! I HAD A NICE surprise Saturday Sat-urday evening-Mrs. Nina Cross Pidgeon phoned me from her home in San Diego. Her eighty eighth birthday is May 8 and she said she wanted to thank me for the card she had just received from me. But you know something? Besides that, she wanted to hear all about the Ladies Luncheon! We had a nice chat and I told her all about the lovely ladies who had been honored and she said, Oh, I SO wanted to be there!" (She subscribes to The Park Record and had kept abreast of all the plans). And then she added, 'Well, maybe NEXT year!" She came to Park City two years ago for the luncheon. It was her first visit here since 1901 and she was accompanied by her un-alike" twin daughters, |
