I f dr t t. t I x ff The Kamas blacksmith shop was torn down this week by Ronald Russell It was owned and operated by the late Victor McCormick who moved the shop here in the summer of 1919 The ground has been purchased by South Summit School District and will be black topped blacktopped topped and utilized as playgrounds Sitting in the doorway of the old shop are familiar faces to the folks around the valley They are Victor McCormick his father Cal C C. C W W. W McCormick and anda a nephew Reade McCormick Some of the older equipment has been purchased by the Sons of the Utah Pioneers to be displayed in ia their Blacksmith Shop in Salt Lake City |
