Position Position P To Fill Spot Invited Judge K Kilby's 11 bys by's resignation ambulance service for the north northend northend northend end of the county and Creamery Lane road were among the items discussed by the Summit County Commissioners in their regular meeting Wednesday Feb 4 Jim Kilby turned in his re resignation resignation resignation re- re for the Park City Justice of the Peace precinct as of March I 1 1970 and indicated he would finish some trials set for Feb 10 He expressed his gratitude for being able to work with such fine men as are in the commis commis- sion Appreciation was expressed expressed sed for the Commission by Commissioner Porter for the cooperation of Mr Kilby Mr Kilby commented that a full time judge for the entire county would be advisable The commissioners agreed to accept the resignation with a vote of thanks and will choose a replacement from applicants on Feb 23 ACCEPT OFFER In discussing the ambulance service for the north end of the county Commissioner moved to accept the offer of Mr Walker for this years year's service They also agreed to contact Coalville and Henefer cities to get their cooperation in purchasing purchasing purchasing pur pur- chasing another ambulance to be operated on a voluntary basis The commissioners met with attorneys representing W W. W Clyde C Company o m p a n y Mrs Lyle Brown and Mr McQueen in discussing the Creamery Lane ane road This was the scene some sometime sometime sometime time ago of a mud slide which put a huge hole in the road and took several acres of Mrs Browns Brown's property County Attorney Robert F. J Reed Moore met with Commissioners Commissioners Commissioners Com Com- missioners to discuss his off office ice business during the past month WEED BIDS The weed bids were opened and discussed with a motion by Commissioner to accept the lowest bid Mr Moore Mn-Moore Moore reported the Council of Governments will meet Feb 23 1970 and Dr Arvil Stark plans to attend the meeting to discuss wide county-wide up clean-up programs Mrs Mary B Bacon a con County Home Agent requested a dietary council and a Senior Citizens Committee Committe to aid with her work Robert Beal appeared to ask for a license to operate a Security Police Patrol in Park City After per persuing suing the Ordinance Ordinance Or Or- Book the Commissioners Commis advised no license is necessary for this business CONTRACTS AWARDED Bids on gas were opened with Standard Oil being awarded the gasoline contract and Sinclair Sinclair Sinclair Sin Sin- clair the diesel and oil contract Bids on carpeting for the hospital hos pital were opened and awarded to Als Al's Merc Mere for a total of Beer licenses were renewed for Frank Cattelan Echo Cafe and for Kilby's for six months Equalization days were set for June 1 I 3 10 and 12 from froin 2 until 5 p pm p.m. m. m The May Sale was scheduled for May 6 1970 at 1000 am a.m. Appointments to the Hospital Board were made Hazel Toole until May 1972 Richard Goodworth Goodworth Goodworth Good- Good worth until 1971 and Roberta Warner until May 1972 y |
