| Show High School May Install Radio Combined Enrollment Now The installation of a school radio was discussed in Student Council meeting Tuesday September September Sep Sep- 15 President Bevan Nelson reported that the Board of Education will supply the funds for it if H the students are interested in setting one up Rosalie Lemon was chosen by secret ballot to be the new school Mascot An application relating to why a student wished to be Mascot was submitted by each person who wanted the position Joe was appointed Advertising Advertising Advertising Ad Ad- Chairman by President President President Pres Pres- ident Nelson Homecoming was scheduled to be October 7 It will be on a Wednesday because meeting will close school for Thursday and Friday Oct 8 and 9 The game will be with South Rich The Juniors set their Prom date for May 7 1971 The Lettermen had a benefit dance September 25 1970 President Nelson urged each student to watch the garbage and t trash r a ash s h situation on the grounds of the school The cheerleaders requested that a rope barrier be installed to divide the cheering section and team from the crowd that passes through that way during football games A student handbook was dis dis- cussed Gay Lynn Kummer Cally Pratt and Dorothy McComb McComb McComb Mc- Mc Comb were selected to type a rough draft to be sent to the printing company Each a blanket for his security Bevan I Nelson carries a football for his security Co Coach a c h Severance requires Bevan to carry a football at all times He thought it a good idea to have Bevan carry it in order for him to improve his handling handling handling handl handl- ing of the ball so he will not fumble it He carries the ball with him wherever he goes goes- to classes classes to o lunch and to most social act ties Bevan will continue to carry it until our first league game which is the second of October He is very dedicated to his assignment has been carrying it for the past two months is a total of stu stu- stu- stu dents The Junior High grades have students and the High School a total of 96 96 There are 35 seventh graders 32 eighth graders 40 Freshmen 38 Sophomores Sophomores North Summit South Summit and Park City at Wasatch Wasatch Wasatch Was Was- atch High School Auditorium The Utah Symphony is composed composed composed com com- posed of approximately 60 members it is conducted by Maurice Park City's chorus band and general music class were invited invited in invited in- in to attend the concert The Symphony played two numbers numbers numbers num num- bers from Korsakov's and John Phillip Phillip Phillip Phil Phil- lip Sousas Sousa's Stars and Strips Forever plus many more Miss Fidel said It was a avery avery avery very fine concert and was en enjoyed schedule is as follows October January March May After May 5 the price is Reporter Sandy McDonald On Friday September 25 the Lettermen's Club sponsored a second dance They used tapes for the music It was supported well by the students They added another 50 for their payment on the Universal Gym On September 25 or and/or 26 the Drill Team had a slumber party to welcome all of the new members into the Club At 2 am a.m. on Saturday morning morning morning morn morn- ing the older members split up into pairs and went to the new members homes where they pulled the new members from their beds and took them to the High School for a party Many of the new girls were very surprised surprised surprised sur sur- sur- sur but they came along anyway anyway anyway any any- way and everyone had fun
