E L xA f y 28 Youngsters Enrolled in Park City Bible School The Park City Bible Schools School's two week two weck session had 28 26 youngsters enrolled d in the Here the refreshment refreshment re program is a group enjoying freshment break of it punch and cookies Left to right around the tab table are Perry Leatham Rex Fletcher Holly Bloom Paula Gasparac Evelyn Blair Cindy Sherry Blair one unidentified David Novelle Novelle No No- velle velIe Dick Olsen Terry Brown Joyce Brown Joyce Ol Ol- Olsen Olsen sen Kathy Hyde Frances and Rose Andrus Gena Santy Sean and Wendy Vendy Plummer Teachers are Sherri Mee left Nanci Nand Lopton Lopton Lop Lop- ton Sue Herwig and Daniel Lopton Each morning morning- starting Harting at 9 am a.m. the children open their activities with a salute to the Nations Nation's Flag Flao a salute to the Christian Christian Chris Chris- tian Flag and a salute to the Bible They TheyS S sang songs prizes were awarded each day dayto to the student wh who had gained the most points for individual achievement in the prior days day's activities Forty minutes of the morning were devoted devoted de de- de voted to Bible study and lessons with work workbooks workbooks books in which each child kept daily les les- les sons For 20 minutes the children relaxed with games and refreshments before returning returning return return- ing to the chapel for missionary stories The last 30 minutes of the morning were spent in crafts The Young Teens class made perpetual c calendars desk caddies cad cad- caddies dies and a clever three minute timer The Junior Class from the fifth and sixth grades made book ends book ends mobiles the fourth and S third graders made napkin holders key rings letter holders yard art cards and a clever climbing monkey toy The youngest class made spoon holders and various color S picture articles and photo stand Sherry Blair ac accrued rued the most moot points for her attendance and work at the Bible BibleS S S school and won a free week one vacation camp trip rip starting Aug 3 at Palisades Jda 50 miles east of Idaho Falls The children of the community were 1 invited to participate in the summer Bible School with no fee charged The cost of materials was donated by a California manufacturer manufacturer man man- of craft packages The time in teaching is donated by college students and any monies needed for the church activity are donated by friends of many churches G across the nation The Park City Community Church has provided its church facilities for workers work work- j ers to bring the Bible School activity to the local community they hey also are active in nth other r Summit and Wasatch communities The program is sponsored and achi achieved v. v ed by the United Missionary Fellowship with headquarters in ll Sacramento Calif The Kamas Bible Church group group ro p with Miss Ruth Edwards heading the program has held three summer programs in Park City and other communities of this area Daniel and Sue Lopton LONon are from Michigan Michigan Mich Mich- igan and with Sherrie Mee and Sue Herwig Herwig Her Her- wig will move an on n to other summer Bible chool activities When these are ed the teachers will eek seek new fields ot of work or training Mr and Mrs Lopton will be moving to Provo to establish a home Bible Study group Sherrie Mee and Sue Herwig will return to their Sacramento California homes and Miss Edwards will continue to work in Kamas |
