Gemmill Club for the past five years, hat tendered ten-dered his resignation to the board of directors to take effect on January I. Mr. Chrlstensen has been connected with the Utah Copper Company for several years. Before be became custodian cus-todian he was active lu athletics, having hav-ing served In the capacity of manager of the Copper Baseball team. Mr. Chrlstensen has accepted a position po-sition with the Shell Oil Company and will 1 local distributor of Shell Oil products in tills district. Winter quarter registration at the University of Uta will take place Monday, January 6, 1930, according to an announcement from the office of President George Thomas. A number of beginning be-ginning courses will commence at that time, and former students and high school graduates of last year who were unable to Tegis ter for the autumn quarter may take up their studies at the beginning be-ginning of the new term. Regular -class instruction for the winter quarter will begin Tuesday, Tu-esday, January 7, and the quarter quar-ter will end Saturday, March 22. The .spring quarter will commence Monday, March 24, and end Saturday,, Sat-urday,, June 7. The Sixty-first Annual Commencement of the University of Utah and the annual an-nual alumni banquet will be held Tuesday, June 10. High school graduates expect-in? expect-in? to einter the university for the first time at the beginning of the winter quarter must make application appli-cation S')T admission and have their credits filed in the office of T. J. Norton, Recorder, prior to the date of registration. The total registration for the college year 1929-130 is expected to exceed 3300.
