L r w- w Jo Pt Iii tl r J s JOGGING FOR STRONGER HEARTS j t I Most of the publicity about getting more exercise usually seems directed to the s sedate date adults But some Is getting to the younger set too For example students at Tolman Elementary School now have a regular jogging course located on the south side of oC the school grounds Principal Edwin T T. T Case set two poles in the ground yards apart Children are working into the plan slowly so as not to hurt any hearts Its It's hard to keep them down though Mr Case noted Students are encouraged to Jog 40 mi miles es during the year They have cards on which is marked the number of oC times they cover the course eight course eight yard jogs equal one mile Those who complete the 40 miles will receive a Joggers' Joggers Club Certificate This is the first school chool to begin the jogging but others will probably follow Adults are encouraged to use the course also Most of the teachers join with their r students in jogging fogging as does Mrs Moss above |
