Lambson Vincent a long time and beloved old lady of our community passed into her last sleep last Sunday morning following an Illness of ten days She passed her birthday on the of at last September September and and was one of or orthe the oldest residents of Utah The following fallowing Is from the Salt Lake Tribune of last Monday Alert and cheerful despite her advanced advanced advanced ad ad- age Mrs Vincent was honored at celebration a in Park City on the one hundredth anniversary of her birth and received congratulations in II a letter from President Roosevelt She was born In Branch Dranch county Michigan September 14 1840 a II daughter daugh daugh- ter of at Arba L. L and Elizabeth Banner Donner Lambson Mrs Vincent was left with the responsibility responsibility of caring for her brothers and sisters youngest of whom was 10 months old Shortly after the mothers mother's death the family moved to Iowa and it was wag from this st state te that Mrs Vincent watched the beginning of the Civil war In 1862 she came to Utah In an In Independent independent in in- dependent covered wagon train The trip was the fourth made by her father to the Beehive state I One of at her first experiences in Utah was preparing food for workers on the L. L D D. S S. S temple in Salt Lake City She later moved to Arizona and operated a railroad construction camp boarding boardinghouse boardinghouse boardinghouse house at St. St Johns John's Returning to Utah she made her home in Beaver Deaver where she lived for 40 years I She Sho then moved to Eureka and 14 years I ago went to Park City She came to Salt Lake City a month ago Mrs Vincent was an ardent member I of the tho L. L D. D S S. S church and was active in the society in Beaver Deaver for many years She also was active in the Daughters Daughters Daughters Daugh- Daugh of Utah Pioneers Surviving are three daughters Mrs Leona of New MexIco Mexico Mexico Mex Mex- ico Mrs Thompson and Mrs William Black of Salt Lake City 32 grandchildren dren great-grandchildren great and 44 great great-grea great grandchildren t One of her grandsons and 11 it great- great grandsons are s serving e r v i 1 n g in the armed forces The body was brought to Park City Sunday In to charge of Mortician Oeo M. M I Archer Archer and and Monday and Tuesday laid in state and viewed by scores of friends until Tuesday evening At an early hour Wednesday morning the remains were taken to Beaver Deaver City where funeral services were held yesterday yesterday yester- yester day afternoon in the L.
