Show r. r Kamas Lions Entertain for Egyptians KAMAS KAMAS- I The Kamas Valley Club devoted their meeting Thursday night to the farmers and world affairs and the farmer to farmer exchange program They had as I their special guests the Egyptians who were here as exchange farm farm- ers Several of the men spoke telling something about their country Mr Reed Moore Summit County County Coun Coun- ty agriculture agent explained the value of the program The program program pro pro- gram was Incorporated in 1956 as a profit non educational organ Because farm leaders exchange exchange ex ex- change has been so effective in i I building international friendship and understanding at the grass grassroots grassroots grassroots roots it has won the approval of the US U.S. State Department which helps to support it by grants m aid of foreign currencies from PL funds Other funds come f fro from r o m individual and corporate contributions I Since 1959 97 American farm leaders have visited developing countries and seven fifty even farm leaders from those countries have visited American farm families A Venezuelan program will begin this November Thousands of other other oth oth- er persons participate both here and abroad as host organizations I and host communities I |
