Show Full Day of Fun for H 4 Members I Marks Recent Visit to P Park arlt City Two-hundred Two and e eighteen I g h tee n young people from the ages of offo fo fourteen and up enjoyed a a- full day of activity In Park City Wednesday Wed June 22 One hundred eight members representing Summit Summit Sum Sum- mit mil County all left early in the day to meet at one of the popular lodges in Park Pare City for an Impressive impressive sive flag raising reI reI represented re- re I I pre presented were Hers Her's from from MorI Morgan Morgan Mor- Mor gan Tooele Wasatch and Duche- Duche one rne counties They said pledge of and then repeated the H H 4 pledge which would be well for the ups grown-ups to read aloud to themselves them them- selves I pledge my head to clear thinking my heart to greater loyalty my hands to larger serI serf ser- ser I f vice my health to better living I j for my club my community andI and antl I my country J I The members rode horse drawn I I carts up to the mine th then n boarded board- board I ed the underground train ride of I about three miles and figured I themselves to to- tobe be about feet underground I From there they rode the elevator elevator ele ele- vator up and broke through the surface halfway up the high mountain It was the chair life i I that carried them to the top-most top point where they took in the I fresh and taking breath-taking view The teens enjoyed a filling lunch of I sloppy joes foes and then rode the I gondolas back down They were entertained In the lodge dinning room by one of the Park City Mine officials who ex explained explained ex- ex pan d all all' all the different aspects of mining Then a great sightseeing sightseeing sightseeing sight sight- seeing trip was in store a as the kids drove up and down main main- street street sometimes sometimes stopping to peer In one of the quaint antique shops of variety stores The evening consisted of supper at the Park while Kamas girls and Park City girls challenged other in a fast game of soft- soft I ball l Kamas amas won with a score cf of about twenty to ten j jA A ended the days' days activity and among those participating participating parti parti- on the program were guitarists guitarists guitarists gui gui- from Coalville a clever skit ekit from Morgan Morgan and an act j accor-j 1 than dlan solo from Gaye Van Tassell Tasse of Woodland and trio from Coalville dancers from Park Cit City and a brief talk from Susan Judd on her trip to nun I the National 4 H Conference in Washington D D. D C.
