Show 1 Selling Is Big BigI I Job Corps Job Getting the story etory of the Job Corps to the young youn men who can benefit from this program Is our toughest problems Rey Arnold manager of the Heber lIeber Employment Employment Employment Employ Employ- ment Security Office stated today I Once these young people find out about this program most of them are arc anxious to sign up for it At the present time the Heber office and Its Us offices in the state i are conducting g a special lal campaign I to recruit school out-of-school youth for tor immediate assignment to Job Training centers To be bo eligible a young men must be Ie between the age of 16 and 22 he must lack the opportunity to obtain job jobI skills and he must be out of I school In many Va ways Utah's present strong economy economy Is not helping our untraIned youth Jobs of all kinds ar are rather rater plentiful today However when the labor market shrinkS shrinks these young people who have no po job skills and little education education edu edu- cation cation will kill b be the the- first to lose their Jobs and the he last to find new ones ones ones' The Job Corps offers these young people the opportunity ity ty ty to train now Mr Arnold explained that young men selected to attend one of the tho 85 training centers in the United States will receive Job training a d dwell 3 well as training in basic educatIonal educational educational skills They will also re le medical and dental care clothing and a monthly spending allowance of 30 At the end of training Job Corpsmen also receive receive receive re re- a readjustment allowance for fr each month of satisfactory satisfactory- er training If the young man has haa been helping support his family 25 of this money may be sent to his family each month and an equal amount will be added by Job Corps All In all Mr Arnold said saId the Job Corps can be the door of opportunity op op- 0 for many young men I |
