D C. C and ar are drawn out one by one Number came ame out first The person whose serial number was his order number Is one If he Is In class one he will be called first but If he Is in class two three four or five then number two will be called before number one This way Is done to all registrants and they will be called likewise If It a call comes for ten men from Summit county the first firsten ten en men in class one qualified for military service whether he is poor or r rich a son c cousin nephew or friend of the draft board will be notified notified no- no to prepare to leave There is iso no o respect of person There are a number of citizens who claim to be citizens of the United Unit Unit- ed d States misjudge the workers of the he draft board When a person or persons make the remark that the draft raft draft board has something to do In sending ending the boys away to war and that hat th they y show partiality by doing so o. o I say they are not citizens of the united States If a registrant will come ome and say he Is is a coward I know without a doubt that he will not have ave to go because Uncle Sam dont don't want such men There is a poem that comes to my mind and it goes something like this It t sets my heart all in a flame A soldier brave to be I will enlist gird on my arms And fight for liberty Tie Ve We want no cowards in our band Who Vho will our colors fly We call for valiant hearted men Who Vho are not afraid to die Any person that will tell or say sar that hat the draft board is taking their boys and putting them in the war I say those persons are talking against the government over the i draft raft boards board's shoulder What if it all fel felt that way Would I we re have a an au army to day to-day day like we have Would the war be so near near to an end Would we have kept kept Germany from landing landing on this continent Answer these hese questions for yourself If we all 11 felt the way some feel tee 1 about letting letting let- let ting Ing their sons go the the Stars and Stripes of our flag It would be shattered shat shat- ered long ago with shells It is the valiant hearted men who were not afraid to die are the ones who kept the Stars and Stripes waving over there Now let us up do all we can and drive that notion from our minds that the draft board Is responsible for tor the calling of our boys and let us re remember remember re re- member one man is no better than the tho other one to go Now let us all do our best until it is over oyer Yours truly M.
