Show iI H Ho HoHo Ho Hoi t I 1 I I 1111 H I i i 1 1 School f iL A I H-H-H-I- Ho 0 t T I I I I I I I I sl The Speech class Is presenting its three-act three play The Abel Miss Cain tonight at 8 pm p.m. The story of the play revolves around ambitious Eleanor Pres- Pres Prescott cott who Is trying to marry her daugh daugh- daughter ter off of to the highest bidder The plot thickens as the Prescott family learns that their rich Aunt Molly is visiting all of her relatives to find out which family needs her financial assistance The Prescott family decides to act des des- destitute destitute for Aunt Molly's benefit In order to Inherit her money Between trying to fool Aunt Molly with their poverty and to keep their rich friends from believing that they are bankrupt creates many hilarious situations which will keep the audience laughing from the opening to the closing curtain The school has been having interesting visitors They seem to be servicemen Some of these are Val Labrum from the Navy Leland Lindsay from the Navy and Jim Santy from the Marines Marian Smith reports that Terry from the Army is on his way home The picture show of the West East-West Shrine football game was shown to the students sixth period Friday The girls of the Physical Education classes have finally been able togo to-go out outon outon outon on the football field to play ball Pasty Fegan has been ill III with the mumps She was glad to return to school or was it that she was glad to get back to Dick I IA A cute new couple has been added to Park High Jimmy Ballantyne and ReNee Wilde Shirley Chamberlain has kept the sixth period English class up livened with her giggling The first period Home Economics class has been very verv ambitious since Mr Mc- Mc McCusker McCusker McCusker Cusker paid the the class a visit The class of 51 Is patiently waiting for graduation and Senior day The band will start practicing march march- marchIng marching ing for tor the contest May 4 3 as soon as they have bave completed rehearsing their concert numbers Jay had to take Donald Ones Giles home April 2 2 Wonder if it could be spring fever A Sophomore girl Beth Garbett has been out of school with heart trouble for lor five days We are all happy to see Continued on Page Eight I High Hi h School Notes Continued from Page One her back In school again Try-outs Try for the Senior cheerleaders will be held during the first part of May The Judges will be Shirley Cham Cham- Chamberlain Chamberlain Chamberlain and Janice Bailey Balley In this weeks week's spotlight are Clyde Johnson one of the many looking good-looking toys boys in the Sophomore class He has played on the football team and basket basket- basketball basketball basketball ball team and he has done a very good Job Audrey Buyer one of the pretty girls girls' of the class She is the flag-bearer flag of I Ithe the Pep club She has done a good Job carrying the American flag Tho The sixth period English class ifs Is studying Shakespeare's As You Like It They are finding It rather difficult to understand On April 3 and 4 the class schedule was changed around so that the second period was last The reason for the change was so that there wouldn't be bean beany beany an any break in the practicing of the speech play The Abel Miss Cain Monday the student body enjoyed a film on the prevention of grass Sires fires It was presented by Mr W.
