E Johnson manager I of ot the Ogden Social Security office I II j i I The new amendments to the Social Security law provides wage credits of or for each month of active military I or naval service This applies to men and andt I women who had 90 days or more of j i I t I active military service between Septem- Septem September I ber 16 18 1940 and July J ly 24 1947 and were were I not dishonorably discharged II III i i Those who died in service or were discharged because of service-connected service I disability dis are not required to have days of service I I The law however further provides that If other Federal retirement bene bene- benefits beneI benefits I I fits such as Civil Service or or Military Service are based on the veterans veteran's ser ser- sert service L t vice in ln World War II these special wage wag 1 1 credits will not be counted toward i iI I I social security benefits I |
