Show County A Agent ent News I 4 llERS ENJOY E JOY CLUB CLU CAMP CAl I Over H 4 club members and leaders enjoyed the 1950 Summit Summit- Wasatch club camp at Wolf Creek Aug Aug- August August August 3rd and The group parti parti- participated participated participated in copper handicraft flag rais rais- raising raisIng raising ing ceremonies nature study log sawing nail driving and song contests camp- camp campfire campfire campfire fire programs and various kinds of games and recreation Camp officers were elected and In cooperation with older H 4 members who attended a special club camp training train train- training trainIng ing school at Logan in July largely managed the camp Mr Vaughan Gor Gor- Gordon don Extension Recreation Specialist lead the group In games and other recreation activities The county agents I assisted with general supervision of the camp activities I This Is one of the highlights of H 4 club county activities during the year Although a light rain cancelled the second nights campfire program every every- everyone everyone everyone one had a good time COUNTY FAIR TIME NEAR August and the dates for the Summit County Fair Is ap approaching ap- ap approaching approaching rapidly The fair premium books arrived the th latter part of July I the ribbons are here the fair grounds are being made ready and the fair officers officers officers cers and are working to get their departments ready for a fine lne successful suc suc- successful successful 1950 County Fair Remember that It is the people with their exhibits and activities that make makeup makeup up the fair The directors and super super- supervisors supervisors visors spend days striving to put over a successful fair that will please the people and improve the county but without the support of the exhibitors and lund all the the people people the work In vain This year the first day August will be a special exhibit and Judging day All livestock and crops will be Judged and home economics and H 4 exhibits will be on display There will willbe willbe willbe be no charge during this first day to see the exhibits Judging and other special features However there will be bean bean bean an entrance charge to see the rodeo the tho night of August The grand livestock parade will be beheld beheld beheld I held before the grandstand during the afternoon of the second day I Get a premium book and select your exhibits to fit It into the various classes classeS' I Lets Let's all work together for a fine lne 1950 County Fair that we can all be proud of and enjoy PART TIME TnIE VETERINARY SERVICE Through the cooperation or of the Summit County Artificial Breeding Association and the Extension Service arrangements have been made for Dr Grant Boam D.
