E Crystal avenue Saturday at 2 30 nan am after a lingering Illness Mr Mi was born In Provo Sept 2 1856 a son of Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth Giles His early life Ufe was that of a pioneer boy In a family of ot eight children His parents were among the first to settle In Heber City Lived In Park Puk City CIt On Sept 29 1880 he ha married Mary Elizabeth Hawkins In ln the old Salt Lake Endowment house of the Church ich of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter Saints Sa The couple moved to Park City In ln 1881 where Mr 11 was a member of the city council He was one of the organizers of the first volunteer fire department In Park City and was elected state senator from Summit and Wasatch Counties serving from 1901 to 1905 During his entire life lite Mr had been an active worker Tn In the L L. D D. S.
