BOOTH WRITES FROM KANSAS Basic Plying Flying School Coffeyville Kansas February 8 1943 Dear eDear Dad Just a note to let you know where e and what Is taking place at this cam camat camp campat p at Coffeyville Kansas Leaving Oakland California after a 4 y months course on airplane w we a traveled for 4 days and nights stopping over In Salt Lake City Denver Lincoln and Kansas City As we pulled out of or Salt Lake I was told that on that train was way some navy boys going to the east coast among them was Les Roach we had had- hada I a nice visit from there to Lincoln Nebraska where the train was changed around It sure seemed good to talk with someone from home Now at this basic training center for cadets we are arc taking care of planes on online online line except when they want a group that know their stuff they that this group putting them on what is known as the tho China Clipper CUpper or dish washer On this Job in K P.
