W Bircumshaw of 1003 Washington street celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary at their home Friday night with members of their family as guests I Mr Bircumshaw was born boin at Notting Notting- Nottingham Nottingham ham England January 13 1856 I the son of Joseph and Rosetta Placket Bircumshaw shaw and came to America with his parents In 1864 following their conver conver- conversion conversion conversion I sion to the L. S church While in Philadelphia after atter the arrival of the family In March he had the privilege of shaking hands with President Abra Abra- Abraham Abraham Abraham I ham Lincoln and has s seen en all the pre pre- presidents presidents presidents of the United States since with the exception of two On November 3 1864 the family ar arrived ar ar- arrived rived ri In Salt Lake Lae City with the Captain Warren Snow ox He has resided here most of the time since following the butchers butcher's trade He lived at Park City a few years where he was fire Ire chief most of that time Mrs Bircumshaw was born at St St. I Louis Louts Missouri June 22 22 1858 a daugh daugh- daughter ter of James and Jane Knight White With her parents she arrived In Utah October 26 1862 In the James ox They were married In the old Endow Endow- Endowment Endowment ment house October 23 23 1876 by Daniel H.
