pleased that they have decided to sponsor a dance to raise funds to buy new instruments tor for the band tills this year the band enters the class B contest and unless they obtain some required instruments they will stand no c hance chance of winning if tho the dance Is sup p td as well as the last one enough money should be received to buy at least one of the necessary instruments the band needs two moro more sousaphones sousa phones a bassoon and a set of anies bea before 0 re they can even hope for another victory that will equal tho those se or of years P C H S the school was a lively place last thursday evening when it was the scene 0 ot f a pep rally e r ored by the I 1 P C members the band planed several avel lively v marches to start the evening oft off in the right spirit then as the band members entered the school building to put away their instruments the onlookers on lookers were I 1 attracted to the athletic field beia oy a guv bonfire the bonfire was the center of 0 a crowd of enthusiastic young school people who wore were entertained by I 1 0 y speeches I 1 from coach bailey and members ot of the j football squad bob birkbeck gave the boys ft a pep and plans tor for the assembly were discussed with the aid of our class advisors we plan to put on an assembly that will be tar far different than anything ever put I 1 on before at the high school it will be something new we shall let you know moro more about it next week this year the class of ct 36 hopes to 10 win tho the elks trophy again we won it last year and would like to arv 0 our cur firemen for helping us keep the crowds back at the football games they have done splendid work and alter after next thursday the last day they will help us we shall not bother them for a while so many people helped us put over our football benefit dance that we must take this means ot of expressing our gratitude the elks very kindly donated the hall tor for the dance this saved us a great expense and we the elks we want to thank the two orchestras ruths rhythm girls and jone jon harmony Sore Sare naders who furnished the excellent music fur fr the festivities of course you cant have hae a dance without tickets the problem of getting the tickets arose but the record soon solved that they printed the tickets absolutely free the record re cord always helps out cut and we are very grateful to them the public should get a great dial of praise tor for their attendance at both the gamo game and dance the gate receipts to tho the game exceeded any received heretofore the people of the town certainly are backing us this year the crowd Is expected to be even greater great r next thursday when we play our old rivals the north summit braves the number of it leopa out to the dance proved its ISABEL DABLING all alumni will be interested in the news that the annual reunion re union takes place next thursday the day will be filled to the brim with activities in the morning the alumni are invited to the high school to visit classes and get acquainted with the new teachers and s students tu dents at about or the pro gram w will ill start at there will be the big football game of the season and in the evening a dance will be the final of a glorious day the program will be at in the high school auditorium this Is another c hance chance lor for you to feast cost your eyes on the beauty of our newly nely decorated auditorium the program will be sponsored by the class of 23 and from all reports it should be a wow although the program gra m will be sponsored by the class of 23 they are not going to slight the other classes so several classes are to be represented on the program the big game Is with Co coalville alville the alumni know the feeling that has always existed between the braves and the miners er s and it certainly ought to recall old m memories to see this game the team will try to give you all the thrills an alumni could expect from a football game between coalville Co alville and park city the dance will be at the elks hall at 9 the dance Is a fall festival given to make money for the band the hall will be decorated to carry out the themo theme of a fall festival and this Is the best of all there will be a floor show at intermission the floor program is quite a novelty and we are sure it will add much to your enjoyment of the dance the
