Show A beloved lady dies in salt lake the news lost last sunday of the passing on of mrs airs more florence ties rose I 1 gay beloved wife of mr wm win H gay the well known mining man of this district came as a distinct shock to tb the many friends of both the well known lady and gentleman gent lema i and sincere sympathy went out to the bereaved husband and brothers and sisters for some years past deceased made her home with her husband at the mayflower property of which mr gay was superintendent after the temporary close down of the property they were put in charge of the star of 0 utah holdings it was here that mrs gay was taken stcl she was at once removed to the home ct cl her sister mrs E W kaiser at fifth east salt lake city despite efforts of 0 skilled physicians the sufferer grew worse until her eyes were closed in death as above stated cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage mrs gay was one of those splendid high elgh minded rounded characters that makes friends immediately with all whom she sh came in contact and her kind hospitality and geniality will ever be remembered by those who knew and admired the lady A good woman a devoted wife and a staunch friend was mrs gay deceased was born bom in sliver silver cliff colorado and was forty five years of age the lady had made her home in utah titan lor for several years past besides her husband deceased Is survived by two brothers alphonse gamier of arizona and phil gamier of colorado and four sisters mrs J G hocking of colorado mrs E W kaiser of salt lake mrs ra B C payne of reber heber city and mrs william mcdonald of keetley utah FU funeral e r I 1 services were held at the he home e of her sister mrs kaiser halser tuesday d ay afternoon the ladles of of which deceased was an honored member having charge of the services rev kev butcher of the episcopal church salt lake preaching a consoling sermon and also officiating offic lating at the graveside interment was at mount olivet cemetery the services were largely attended among the park city friends in attendance were miss davina baxter mr john F cunningham robert cunningham fraser eraser buck lapage and S L laddon |
