a heart will throb in keenest sympathy cyro pathy with mrs J P langford to her has come one of the greatest tragedies of life the loss of a daughter in the first bloom of womanhood at a time when she was becoming the comrade and champion of her mother the girl has teen been called to eternal rest there are in the lles lives of e of us when human sympathy I 1 pitifully weak tragically ineffective there are heart wounds for which no e balm may be found to even oft off r sympathy seems almost a profanation id d yet there must be for those who are arc icken some comfort in the knowledge tt it there are hearts that go out to i im m hearts that know how bow to teel feel tot for them and with them the weight of the egedy that Is theirs always in death there are living who re ire wounded and always consolation r ly be found even in a case like this where in the flower of her youth a be loved girl is taken the palliation Is concealed beneath the pain this world at best Is but a little journey toward thi infinite the paths of some lie in pleasant places As they walk along they pass nearly always through flowers spread out beneath a sky of 01 clearest blue across a land that Is hooded flooded with sunshine but into every life must stalk the gilm figure of tragedy with some it Is a constant cn stant companion with others only a chance acquaintance no human being lives long without it though whether abe re be cut down in the noon time or journeys serene and unafraid into the lengthening shadows the girl who Is ig dead Is spared the tragedy she Is spared the heat and burden of the day in the gentle sunlight of the morning she has entered into everlasting peace for her there will be no tears no more suffering buffering the grief ot of her loved ones Is too 0 today to permit of any thoughts to aie of their present affliction but as the he to tomorrows arrows come and go they will dull the edge of grief and bring to those who mourn not forgetfulness but knowledge the knowledge that the good god boeth all things well with sincere sympathy MRS S J BILLINGS park city utah april 8 1930 |
