Show KILLED WHILE HUNTING While hunting deer in Middle Canyon, Tooele County, last Monday, James Eppis of Highland High-land Boy was fatally wouuc d, when it is believed that lie was mistaken by a group of hunters' for a deer. i Eppis, with six companions, was hunting along the bottom of the canyon when they scared a buck, which Eppis shot and killed. As they closed in on the auimul, a herd further down th. canyon dashed for safety and huuters all over the hillside opened fire. As they opened lire Eppis fell and cried out, "I'm shot," Hunters Hunt-ers rushed to the spot where he lay and aid was sent for, but he died before doctor's assistance could be summoned. Deputy Bert Smith of Tooele has made a thorough investigation investiga-tion but up to the present time has been unable to fix the blame for the fatal shot. He is survived by his v.ulow and three children. |
