Show I 1 wanted a new postoffice Post office I 1 j because of persistent dillydally dilly dally ing constant prevarication and general cussedness cuss on the part of the owner ot of the building and owner ot the fixtures of the local postoffice post office the patience of government officials have finally been exhausted and a decision reached that further delay j will not be tolerated in the matter of meeting the requirements exacted I 1 by the government on leased buildings used lor for post postoffice office purposes A year and a halt half ago contracts were signed by the local owners of the local post postoffice office building providing for proper conveniences and facilities I for the handling of the heavy i mails alls by postmaster mclaughlin ln and I 1 his assistants and putting the building generally in such cond condition itsou that t would reflect credit to the post office officials as well as the community this agreement has been studiously avoided until two weeks ago when the office proper was papered and this week the lobby was papered and painting commenced but this Is only a small portion ot of the promised postmaster inspector W a haas was waa in the park this week and so indignant was lie ho at the indifference and unreal ot of the owners that he decided upon a change of site tor for tle the postoffice post office and authorized the posting oi of the tee following notice now owners ot vacant buildings should get busy and submit bids to mr 1 laas haas tor for it is worth while to have uncle sam as a tenant post postoffice office 0 office ce 0 ot chief inspector washington special tl notice salt lake city october 9 1917 the undersigned undersigner under signed will receive proposals up to and including october 1917 for the furnishing 0 f suitable quarters tor for post ottice orfice pu puri r poses at park city utah under a lease for five or ten years from january lot 1918 in accordance with attached blank forms which as will be noted calls for the furnishing ot of ant rent heat light water closets urinals safe or vault and all necessary furniture and equipment lor for the proper conduct of said bald office at a stated price per annum there will be needed in this instance not less than one thousand square feet of floor space apace good daylight location not too tar far from business center and within eighty rods of railroad depots are points tor for general consideration blank proposals and specifications may be obtained from the postmaster the form of lease may be examined at tho the postoffice post ottice office diagrams of the rooms offered should aboul d be submitted showing dimension men siou windows etc the right Is reserved to reject any or all proposals WILLIAM G HASS postoffice Post ottice office inspector salt lake city utah |
