was read and the council resolved itself into a canvassing board and the vote levying a one mill tax for the maintenance of a public library was counted the official tally showing 50 votes cast in favor of the proposition and 16 against LIBRARY BOARD D APPOINTED in compliance with the law governing such matters mayor ridge said it would be necessary to appoint a library board consisting of 0 board named by mayor ridge DANGEROUS BUILDINGS mayor ridge informed council there were some buildings on main street that were a menace to public safety and asked that after council meeting the councilmen and marshal and city attorney and to demonstrate it was no secret session affair the record man was also asked to accompany him on a short tour of inspection and the invitation was accepted REGARDING NE NEW W ORDINANCE attorney dalgleish was asked it if he ha had framed ordinance to comply with the statewide state wide prohibition law the gentleman informed council lie he had not done so because he was waiting tor for an outline of the salt lake and ogden ordinances in this regard mayor ridge called attention to the tact fact that the minimum fine tor for a person arrested for drunkenness was and informed the now new marshal marshai and council that no leniency was to b shown as the best way to aid the statewide state wide prohibition was to enforce the law and so long as
