there will be other of like magnitude opened up in that locality in tile the not tar far distant future mr L 11 thompson graduated this year from the col ambia abia law school but for a time will follow mining instead of law looking after his fathers interests in tho the cottonwoods Cotton woods and relieving him of some 0 of liis ills arduous duties will install flotation process yesterdays tribune contained the following what will mean a saving baying of about per year due to a greatly increased extraction will be tile the installation of the callow pneumatic flotation process at the daly judge milling plant at park city the additional machinery tor for the plant designed to treat between fifty and seventy five tons of fines per day has been ordered tc te cording to general manager george W lambourne part of the machinery being on the ground at present it is expected that the new equipment will be in operation in the near future for years the fines at the park city nills mills have been lost the new method will greatly add to the efficiency of the mill and the cost of 0 installation will be small the fines as they come from the mill carry about tour four parts of water to one of material A filter press will be used from this they pass into a dorr thickening tank thirty five feet in diameter and fifteen feet high from this the fines pass into a mixing tank and then from roughing to finishing cells these are oblong boxes high at one end and tapering down to tile the other through the bottom of these cells co canies conies ines a rush of compressed air to agitate the liquid instead of using mechanical means the troth froth produced from this operation carries with it all the sulphides sulp hides of zinc and lead and it is necessary to complete the process on a separating table with the exception of malting making a covering tor for the thickening tank all the new machinery will be lodged in tile the old mill building the snake creek tunnel
