| Show ILLEGAL registration salt lake oct 16 the republican county committee lias has discovered disc overe d several cases of illegal registration in the downtown district and all those that havo have violated the law will be prosecuted within a few days complaints will be filed and prosecutions will be commenced detectives have been working on several cases and have found that on the registration books there are several names which do not belong there these cases of illegal registration have been noted in the tenderloin district particularly and t those h os e who have violated vi bated the law will be shown the error of their ways the law says that in order to vote in this state the voter must have a residence in the state of one year in tho the county six months and in the election district sixty days the floaters who havo have been all allowed 0 w e d to hang around the lodging h houses 0 u se s dives es and other places with immunity tho the law have been sent to the places of registration by the Amerl Ameri kearns party ani and all those that have violated the law lae will he be prosecuted to the fullest extent there will be a fair and square election this fall and the republican register clerks will not tolerate any attempt at illegal voting there is yet besides toddy one day of and after tho the books are completed they will be inspected thoroughly and all who have placed their daives naives there without legal authority to do so will not bo be allowed to vote in tact fact will be prosecuted long before it comes time to vote |
