| Show I 1 I 1 NAME FORGED TO EXCUSE salt lake oct 12 george preston 19 years of age w was as found guilty yesterday in the juvenile court of contributing to the delinquency of oe johnnie Tr 8 years of age preston was fined 10 by the court but his sentence wa suspended ou on hl promise to do better for three days johnnie played truant from school on a written excuse to which preston forged tho the name of mrs Tr the excuse stated that johnnie was sick and could not attend school johnnie spent his time at a skating rink where preston was employed when mrs troxie her sons report from the school teacher she found that he had bad been excused tareo days for sick sickness she inquired into the matter and was shown the excuse mrs said that it was not her handwriting hand writing and she demanded an explanation from johnnie he told her he had run away from school but had learned to roller skate lie he also told her about the excuse and admitted that preston had signed her name to t it the I 1 case was reported to the juven I 1 lie ile court and preston was summoned before judge drown brown ile he admitted that he signed the excuse blank but did not think that he was in any way injuring i tho the child by it judge brown lectured lecture d preston and promised to suspend hk line fine providing he keeps out 0 of further trouble |
