Show MATTERS SEVERAL CASES ARE HEARD IN SHORT SESSION THIS MORNING christina ebberson settles with U P railroad for for death of her husband judge henry H held a short session in the district court this morning lasting only about an hour sn the matter oe smyth vs charles h reed et al DA smyth plaintiff by his counsel J N felled P from the supreme court in which it was ordered that plaintiff have judgment quieting his title to the real estates described in the amended complaint which judgment was accordingly entered by tho court in this case sued to quiet title for property on twenty fifth street the district court threw the case out and it was taken to the supreme court where it was decided that they must quiet the title for the property in question and ghe possession the matter of confirmation of sale of fafty alve shares of the stock of the shupe candy co belonging to the estate of daniel W shupe deceased came up attorneys A E pratt and C C richards appearing for etta Shu pethe of the estate eleven thousand dollars had been offered for the stock by joseph scow brott mrs pearl decker appeared by her attorney oscar moyle of salt lake and bid for the stock and james pingree also appeared and bid for it the court then continued the hearing until tomorrow morning at ten in order that the bidders might have further time in which to file additional bids if so inclined in the matter of christina ebbed son vs the U P R R co and the S P R R co attorney W L ma appeared for the plaintiff and on his motion an order was entered changing the name of the plaintiff to christina ebberson in all proceed i ings had the hearing oa stipulation went by default to the U P co tor judgment and judgment was entered for and costs of 1075 against the union pacific company A stipulation was ordered entered dismissing the case as to the 0 8 L R R co in this case mrs ebberson bad originally sued for for the death of her husband who was killed in the wreck near green river and settled with the defendant for the court approved the bonds of joseph stanford county commission er elect for four year term and of oscar B madson for two year term in the matter of frederick kingsland vs george H tribe in which complaint the defendant was attached tor liquors etc purchased bioc the plaintiff the court ordered a decision sustaining the demurrer and giving twenty days in which to amend the complaint |
