| Show PRINCETON COURSES CHANGED undergraduates in arts and sciences vill take five of seven subjects N J june 13 the princeton faculty today announced a slon of undergraduate courses of baudy leading to the bachelors degree and the action has been passed by the trustees it is the most important restatement of the princeton course of study that has been made elace president cosh reorganized the course in candidates for admission to the bachelor of arta course will be examined in the following subjects ot study j the classics mathematics english one modern language and history ana candidates for the course of bachelor of science and bachelor of letters will be examined in mathematics elemen j tary physics latin english history and two modern languages there will be a reduction in number ot courses to be stu dent taking fire instead of deveo studies each term with a consequent increase in the amount of time given to each course in order to make it more substantial provision is also made for insuring coherence and continuity in the elect i ive choices without interfering with tha students full freedom after this essential condition for the exercise ot freedom has been complied with princeton N J june 13 president allson began Prince tons class day exercises by introducing N II 11 under i hill of east orange N J master 0 ceremonies in alexander hall the salutatory lut atory as dell verey by D G bardrof newburgh new york and the class oration was by george S hornblower ot new york city |
