central j mine was run over by a freight car and instantly killed at the ore bins at the lower end of the tramway at this afternoon simon was su intending per the loading of the ore and was on a loaded car attempting to set a brake the brake was detective and alie cars began moving down the track simons was struck by one ore shoot and knocked under the car on the his head was severed from his body and his left leg was cut oil below tho knee A coroners cor onera was held at dobison this afternoon and returned ed a verdict in accordance with the facts above mr simons has worked in the district for twelve years and was formerly as aaker at the bullion beck mine in eureka lie leaves a wife and two children the body will probably be taken to payson for burial this is a second fatality in the district during the past three years that was due to detective brakes on railway cars it is the custom at several of the mines to leave the cars standing on the siding with a steep grade and as by the death of sirs sophia crane occurred on sunday morning she had suffered froin a number of complications about three week ago she gave birth to a daughter her fifteenth child and a few days later sho was attacked with smallpox the immediate cause of her death was heart failure no services were held over the remains and as soon as a casket could bo brought from she was buried with only a few
