Show DISTRICT COURT NOTES TWO CASES DISPOSED OF LAST EVENING BY JUDGE in the case ck the state vs frank foulke yesterday afternoon but very letle evidence tor the fentense den tense was introduced ana the jury after the case had been submitted found a verdict of not guilty after being out about fifteen minutes the next case tried was that of the state vs james williams who was on trial tor the gasberg house last new years night the evidence all showed plainly that he was in there and took away with him an overcoat coat and vet and a camera cover he was caught while trying to dispose of the articles a short almo after he had the goods the jury in the case found a verdict of not guilty which when read by the clerk caused considerable surprise but none more than among the juryman jurymen themselves as thoy had fully intended to bring in a verdict of guilty but the foreman had signed the wrong verdict they explained ithac it was a mistake aral sent back and soon brought in a different verdict all the juryman jurymen were excused until tomorrow the court instructed the clerk to set motions for hearing on march ath and all motions or matters requiring an order of the court alu e taken up and passed upon on that date court adjourned until this morn lag at 10 |
