| Show resolution re blut on PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 6 ARTICLE 10 OF THE constitution RELATING TO THE CONTROL AND MAI maintenance NTEN OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS be it resolved and enacted by the legislature ag of the state of utah two thirds 0 of all members thereof concurring therein section 1 the following proposition to amend the constitution of the state of utah ie is hereby to the qualified electors of the state for their approval or disapproval namely that section 6 of 0 article 10 of the constitution of the state of utah shall be amended to read as follows follow st sec see 6 in cities of the first and second class the public school system shall be controlled by the board of education of euch such cities separate and apart from tho the counties in which said cities are located sec sm 2 the secretary of slate state Is hereby ordered to cause this proposition to be published in at least one newspaper in every county of the state where a newspaper Is published for two months immediately preceding the next general election sec see 3 this proposition shall be sub bitted to the electors ot of thi this state at the next general election tor for their approval or disapproval on all official ballots use beel at each sueh Y election there shall be printed for the amendment to section 6 article 10 I 1 of the constitution and against tha amendment to section 6 article 10 ot of the constitution together with euch such other title designating euch such amendment as may be provided by law said ballots shall be received and said votes vote 3 shall be taken counted canvassed and re returns turns thereof be made in the samei M manner a and in all respects as Is provided by law in the case of the election of state officers |
