Show the funeral services over the remains of mrs tharza it nesse took place on tuesday march ath at fair west at 11 am in the meeting house A very largo assembly was gathered there on the occasion to pay their tribute of respect to the memory of one whom many had known from early childhood bishop james martin presided after the first number had been rendered by the choir a fervent prayer was offered by elder chas owen consoling and appropriate remarks were made by bishop martin elder win J larkins bishop leal J taylor and president C F nearly all of whom had been intimately acquainted with her from her infancy to her demise each speaker testified to the purity of her life her blameless character and her integrity to truth and the sacred obligations she had assumed since she had arrived at womanhood As a child she was dutiful and kind to her parents as a mother tender and affectionate as a wife obedient as a citizen loyal as a neighbor and friend obliging and true the speaker further said that while her body rests in the grave her spirit ditl mingle and associate with the spirits of those who are happy in the paradise of god the benediction was pronounced by elder thomas brown an immense cortege of about thirty live carriages full of friends followed the remains to the ogden city cemetery where they were laid to rest the grave was dedicated by elder nickard D brown |
