Show an erroneous report denver col sept 11 the delegation ol 01 post office clerks from several eastern states arrived in denver today as advance auard for the annual of the national association in post office clerks to be held here next week mr J H maloney ot surprised to read in the press dispatches from lincoln neb a report 0 the of the delegation with mr bryan yesterday in which he ie reported to have assured mr bryan ot the support of alie national organization 0 post cherka mr maloney wishes to correct una error he eaid we sent no dispatch in advance to mr bryan or to the postmaster at lincoln requesting the honor of a re ceplon but some gentlemen on the train without our advice or knowledge as we learned afterwards did send euch a dispatch and we were surprised upon our arrival to find mr bryan at the station of he party I 1 bad the honor of presenting the compliments of the delegation to a distinguished representative american who ie a presidential candidate of a preat political parly we did not assure him of oar support nor did we predict for him a victory we are distinctly non partisan and it would have been most unbecoming in me to have so addressed him and I 1 hope a full correction through abw picas may be given of this error |
