Show city republican primaries gotico ia hereby given that republican primary election will bo held in the several city on thure day october 1895 for the purpose 0 placing in nomination one candidate each for the office of mayor city recorder city treasurer city austice 0 the beaco and two candidates from each word for the office of city councilman polls will be opened at 2 and doce al 9 p m at thase primaries votes will be cast directly for the candidates and as to the general ticket the person having the highest number of votes in all the wards will be declared to be the nominee of the republican party tor the office to which he aspires each ward will nominate its candidates for council nio in the same manner the qualifications of a voter at the republican an marie to be bield as aforesaid ahall be that the voter is a resident and qualified elector ot the ward in which he proposes to vote that he is republican and intends to vote alie republican ticket at the ensuing election in case the voter is challenged or in cage the judge ahall be in doubt as to hie right to vote the voter shall be examined under oath as to his qualification by the judges and should he refuse to be so examined or to tie judges of hie right to vote bis vole shall be rejected alie judges named below will conduct the under the direction ot this committee they will make duplicate returns tor each ward forwarding one ot such return to the chairman of this committee securely sealed which will not bo except at a meeting of the committee to be held immediately after the primaries are held when such returns will be canvassed by the lichod hole committee and he result the requests that alt persons who desire to candidates lefore these primaries notify the chairman ot tills committee by 3 p october in writing stating the office for which he Is a candidate that their names may be placed on alie general ticket that be printed and distributed by the commit ace or at the polls this general ticket will bo the only one counted bythe judges vacant spaces will be icat to add other names at the polls t none but republican will be allowed to vote any further information regarding the macnei of conducting the primaries will be cheerfully given at committee headquarters the following named will act judges finer WAtt DEd II 11 ilaleen and vm at city liall iii jolin conlisk and J E coolidge Coo lidee at thomas I 1 hall aured moroni atone miles jones and david farr at the mound fort amusement hall J A wright J V bluth and F W chambers at fourth ward amusement hall finn J moody joseph belknap anil gw II alverson at child s building avenue anil twenty sixth street by order at committee R II 11 Clia irian |
