Show FROM LAND OF THE DANES one of utah citizens writes of his travels in denmark norway and sweden THE STANDARD it is possible that some of my friends in the far west would be interested in hearing a few remarks from me I 1 therefore take the liberty of penning a few hues to your much appreciated paper hoping you will give same a space in your columns I 1 left home for europe the day of may and after a most enjoyable and pleasant voyage of twenty two days landed on the shores of denmark where I 1 have spent the greater part of my time I 1 was most agreeably surprised on arriving here in noting the condition of affairs I 1 have moved among all blesses of people and I 1 find the majority to be a kind polite obliging people very industrious as well as economical and as a rule shunning such tunings as they have been laucht were evier I 1 have visited the people ot norway and sweden and I 1 find but little difference if any in them and the danes I 1 consider the scandinavians a fine race of people during the past summer denmark has had the honor of being visited by some ot the potentates of the world the czar of It princess of wales crown prince of sweden and the king and queen of greece having been here I 1 took quite a delight in getting a glimpse of these royal personages the kingdom can be seen quite often while in norway I 1 visited some of the places of interest as also in sweden and waa much pleased with my trip my health has been excellent since leaving home and I 1 am ex well pleased with my trip to europe and hope soon to meet with my family and friends in the land to me dearer than all other lands my mountain home with kind regards I 1 remain yours respectfully ADAM nov |
