Show The restoration of forests in Germany, Ger-many, France, Italy and Austria, Major Raymond says, has been followed by results surprisingly satisfactory, beyond be-yond the most sanguine expectations. If this process of restoration of American Amer-ican forests wore begun at once, made general, and prosecuted with anything like the vigor that characterizes the work in Europe there is no doubt but people of the present mature gencntr tion would live to see an end to the disastrous floods which now come very near being annual throughout the Ohio and Mississippi valleys. |
