Show SAD DEATH OF AN OGDEN LADY george morrison Morr lson did not reach great falls in time the following Is an account from the great reat falls mont daily tribune of 0 tb the e death and burial of mrs alre george verge who formerly resided in ogden and nod bad had many frienda here AB As will be seen george morrison her brother who left tot 0 ogden d en for great falls apon receipt t of a telegram gram announcing the illness of his sister pieter did not reach hia his destination until after her death one of the I 1 largest argest funeral procession process ions a ever witness d in greit fulls folls was that which yesterday fol followed loed the remains of the late mrs graco grace vergo verge wife of george AV M verge of this city to their earthly resting place in highland cemetery the funeral services vices vi ere conducted at the family residence on fifth sauth at 3 p m yesterday by the reva van and coombe of the BI I 1 E church the rooms of the building an i 1 surrounding grounds being filled by mourning and relatives friends and acquaintances quain mrs verge last tuesday morning and the abdy was embalmed embalm ed to await the arrival of a brother rather george A morrisa Mor Morr ism who upon the receipt of a telegram announcing her danger dangerous ill had left ogden 51 monday onlay morning to attend the bedside ot of bia bis eister anticipating the arrival of sir mr morrison Morri aon 0 on n yesterday afternoons eastbound train the funeral services were delayed toa to a rather late hour but the train being delayed by the late washouts wae wa bouta shouts mr 51 Morr orrieon did not arrive in time and the casket containing the remains was left uncovered in the grave at the cemetery cem elery guarded by watchers upon mr Morri sons arrival be he immediately proceeded to the cemetery accompanied by the bereaved husband and immediate frienda friends of the family when the casket was raised to the surface and all that remained of a loved eister sister were viewed by the heartbroken brother after which they were again cone consigned limed to the tomb the subject of this sketch was bom born at mount thorn rhom picton county nova scotia feb alth 1859 on the day of may mayo 1887 she was married at minneapolis to george W M verge three children two sons and an infant daughter blessed the union A little over two weeks ago she gave birth to the latter and had bad nearly recovered from her illness when ehe she was again prostrated and despite all that medical skill the constant care of her husband and the kind attention and services of lovings friends could do she passed peacefully away like a baba babe to vita dreama dreams the deceased had by her amiable disposition neighborly administrations and her many christain Chri etain virtues endeared herself to a large circle of friends who sho attested their deep sorrow at her untimely taking off by those tributes of grief which find expression in welling tears and by rich floral offerings laid upon her hear remains besides her husband and orphaned little ones eha she leaves a mother a sister and four our brothers to mourn her death |
