They met an Indian up from thirty miles dowi the river in the north edge of the O'copah country, who said that many Indians had been drowned, but they could form no idea fr: m what he said of the number. Several Yuma Indians living below here make the same np. rt. It will be days before the number and the facts can be gotten. One Indian is reported to have been drovned on the Yuma reservation, across tne Coloaado from heie. Reports are in from nearly every each report is better. The water rose from ten to twelve feet. The case ( f the people vs John R Rob-erts, charged with malicious mishief, commuted at Farnhaui. Emery county, by tearing down John A Powell's fence. Testimony given and the case was sub-mitted. A!f Osborne, Peter Jepper and Niels Latsen arranged on a charge of petit larceny, committed in San Pete, by steal ing candy and peanuts from a Rio Grande Western car. All claimed to have been under the influence of liquor. They wera sentenced to two months' coLrmemcat. SATURDAY, March 7. John R Roberts was fined $25 and costs for malicious mischief. Bonds lor appeal were fixed at 55oo. Adalbert Caxier was arraigned on a charge of adultery, and look the statu-tory time to plead. The bodies o the two men who had been killed in the slide were fastened to rude sledges and dragged to Wasatch a distance of eight m.Ies at which point the railway was ta .en for Scndy. There were thirteen men in the party which had been sent out for supplies, and of this number five were burried in the slide. Two men, HansOlsn and Barney Kast, were kill d outright, while lohn Ford and Hous-ma- n and Henry Weight were injured. The bodies and the injured men reach-ed this city last evening,. Ford and Housman were at once taken to the hospital; while Weight was left at his home. Ford will be remembered as one of the men who was caught in th great slide of 1885, at which time he lost his wrfe and child. The extent of his injur ies have not been ascertained, and it is feared they are almost eternal, and quite serious. Housman was seriously bruis-,e- d about the hip. Weight's injuries are not at all serious.and he will be around in a day or two. NOTICE. Order appointing time for the hear-ing of probate of will.
