The prosecution of the lastnamed offenses is not persecution they are demoralizing and a disgrace to the country. A subscription has been started as a basis for a fund to erected a first class Opera House in Ephraim. In a two days run the list reached 31945.00 and not a .quarter of the business men consulted. It Is almost sure to be a go. Good! We hope this is only a commencement of a series of good enterprises for Ephraim. A bank and a factory are two of the first on the list we vant to hear from.
