lemens congress for 1892 is a thing of the past few of our citizens realia i the victory achieved by ogden in this respect the organization was formed by the unanimous vote of representatives senta tives from twelve elates states and territories A president was elected who resides in nevada though be he has some interests in wyoming aquilla was elected vice president for utah he is energetic and is greatly interested in the cattle industry RL R L armstrong and john derby of this city were elected secretary and assistant respectively and judge A B patton also of this city waa was chosen treasurer this makes ogden the headquarters local organizations will be effected according to the call of the tile executive commatee comm itee in each state and territory west of the missouri and mississippi rivers this organizations will send their legally chosen delegates here to the next convention BO so that more effective work can be performed than could possibly be effected by a mass convention unorganized and partly ignorant of the object of the congress in addition to this washington texas missouri url new mexico and california will be added to the representation esen tation as soon as the proper work becomes known being perfectly organized for one year with a constitution and bylaws by laws for the government of the intermountain inter later mountain stock growers the will hereafter be easy A stock register was adopted when each local organization adopts it every state and territory will have a book containing the brands of that state or territory with address of owners and other anfor information mation A copy of each will be filed with the secretary at ogden who will thus have a general record of all brands in the great district named to him all will look for such information as cannot be furnished by the local brand books or the local secretaries oden ogden thus becomes in one sense a central station for the entire west and the cattle industry thereof the next accommodations necessary to properly entertain the visiting v delegates ogden is really the home of the cattle interests and the present pral ou move will have much eh to do with the be settlement of many prominent wideawake I 1 wealthy and public spirited cat clemen in this city at the cloe clo e of the congress saturday a large roll of members was secured by the secretary it was not possible to secure the list yesterday but it was learned that south omaha enrolled the following members accompanied by the fee for each W A babcock general manager of the union stockyards stock yards bol sol received from colonel W E skinner the general chairman of the south omaha stock yards delegation to the catt lemens congress GRAND JUNCTION colo may EDITOR tim titz owing to the continuous round of pleasure that oar on delegations were he the recipients of wo we did not have time or breath to do what it now gives me pleasure to show you we have done in the seclusion of our car on our homeward bound trip from the moat delightful excursion it has ever been our privilege to enjoy the enclosed resolutions were unanimously adopted at a meeting of the omaha delegation held this morning I 1 send them to yon you with a request that you eee see they reach the proper people yours most respectfully W E SKINNER secretary whereas the citizens of ogden and salt lake cities have placed the mem bers of the south omaha delegation to the catt lemens congress con grees at ogden under everlasting obligations by their many courtesies and kindnesses it is hereby resolved that the omaha delegation take this opportunity of expressing to 0 i the citizens 0 ogden and salt lake their appreciation for the uniform kindness received at their hands bands by in this formal manner tendering their thanks especially to the reception committee of the catt lemens congress at ogden to the citizens citi zenn of both cities for their bountiful hospitality and generous entertainment to the ogden street railway company by their genial superintendent he the management of the ogden hot springs to the commission co and colonel W C B alien allen of salt lake and to every one in both cities we wo feel
