any at all and the housekeeper must depend upon her own personal efforts for all the comforts 0 home 11 then it seems the more astonishing that these ladies can do so much for the public good and for self improve ment the association which meets evert every two weeks has lies a membership of it ty able women wo and it is a noticeable fact that nearly all have large families and many other demands upon their time yet sedi as di rec tresses they faithfully fulfil fulfill their doty duty of caring for the unfortunate ones of our city without neglecting home or families in the coterie are twenty U the golden hour club the pythian sisters sifters Sif the rebeccas bec cas cals and numberless number lesa other clubs and associations require time and attention from the ladies yet all they undertake is well done and no public enterprise is to presented which does not receive their hearty assistance and cooperation truly ogden is full of busy hopeful women and who shall shelf eay say this fact will not influence its future prosperity A suggestion it has been suggested and the idea is a good one that a doll fair be held in ogden for the benefit ot the public library similar to that to be held in denver the alth and of december the fair in that city has assumed resumed g gigantic I 1 proportions and is for the benefit of the tree free kindergan tens those in charge have requested already been offered in denver for or a doll dressed by mrs cleveland mrs harrison however persistently refuses to assist in this way by beginning in season a fair of this kind could be prepared here by new years and if it proved the souria of revenue that it has done in other cities would add greatly to the library fund every lady here would be willing to dress a doll in some character and surely
