Show R THE INQUEST esti t an examination of the body found on monday t THE TRE DOCTORS REPORT the child nevor never lived and its mother is at present unknown thi this borni morning ag an inquest at over the remains remais of the tu infant found in wm win browns field on eighth street on the instant was held dr T A perkins roads made a rost mortem examination of the remains ma i ns and reported report td to the jury cs rs follows the body nas that of a female child much both arms were gone the shoulder eh and the face and neck had apparently been gnawed by norfio somo an animal the skull was a m moss and the body was covered with worms evidently a period of development corresponding with the to month of uterine life had been reached an examination odthe of the vital organs gave no evidence that the child ever breathed the lungs in in particular showed the character charac terr iritic condition being small unexpanded dark in color solid they sunk in water and were without air christopher purdy was nand and testified to the finding of the body bay when be he first saw it it was lying on the ground on ite its left side sida with one arm gone witness informed his father of his disc discovery avery and finally the marshal was notified thomia I 1 purdy father of the above witness corroborated the above statement so far as being told of the occurrence occur ence and notifying the marshal were concerned the jury after considering the evidence and the report of dr perkins returned the following verdict we the undersigned jurors on oath od say that according the evidence present presented cd before us at the inquest t over the body now lying before us that we vre believe the remains are those of a still born child we find that thit ohp remains were found in william arowna Jr owna js field south eighth street and west of wall street etin jn ogden city and ware deposited there by some person to us unknown wm lowr T H BALLAIN ballantyne TYNE IV W ELMER jurors MAKE MARK HALL coroner |
