listened to the following petit petitions ione john hobbs petitioned lie the council connell to sell hira him lota lots 1 12 2 and 3 in block 1 29 10 plat C of ogden city survey re berred to the committee on public grounds mrs mary E 11 also asked the council bosell to sell her lot 5 block 36 16 plat referred to the committee on public grounds 11 ll E gibson asked for a rebate on his license amounting to 1060 10 60 inconsequence in consequence of having relinquished ed the lumber bual business nees referred to the committee 0 on n license with power to act IMPORTS councilor rich of the committee committe eon on claims reported that the committee had concluded to have nothing to do with the sidewalk boards question introduced trod by mr BS 8 S schramm at the laet last meeting the report waa was ac cepter Cou councilor nellor boyle of the committee on fire department stated to th the council that a email small healing heating stove is needed for the Fir emens hall A cheap wasil stand is also needed at the same place mr boyle recommended that the articles be purchased and the council acquiesced alderman dee doe of the commit tee on water supply reported the water works in to such proceedings in the laws but the committee considers the members of the band as worthy to have their poll tax remitted as some others who have been favored and therefore if the council connell that the petition of the band be granted the motion received a second from councilor driver councilor boyle in speaking to the question thought that the other bands in in the city might want a ilar matter mr boyle then withdrew his second and the motion was killed councilor boyle asked for an ex for the turning off of the city water without notice to patrons the gentleman alm 1 called attend oil
